The Band
Five men that have simply followed what Christ wants them to do to the best of their ability.
"We pray that He would use us not for entertainment, but to affect the lives of others in a way that no one can deny the truth that the scripture teaches." ~ BR
The Guys
Phillip Cole
Vocals & Acoustic Guitar
Some may say he’s like a man of mystery, but Phil’s vulnerability and honesty on stage leave no doubt about his humble passion for worshipping Christ. Phil became the lead singer for Burgundy Road in 2000. His biggest fans are Jasmine ("Jazz") and Champ, two of the best canine companions a guy could hope for! And of course, he wouldn't be where he is today without the unconditional love and support of Oreo cookies.
Phil's Teams: Miami Dolphins, Utah Jazz, St. Louis Cardinals
Nik Shehu
Electric Guitar & Background Vocals
Kreshnik (Nik) Shehu was born in Tirane, Albania, and moved to the US in 1999. He loves Italian food, British bands, and his German-bred dog, Salem. He met the rest of the guys while attending McMurry University, and joined Burgundy Road in 2000. He also serves on staff at the band's home church, River Valley Christian Fellowship in Bastrop, TX.
Nik's Teams: Dallas Cowboys, Inter Milan
Trey Glaspie
Lead Guitar
Phenom. Prodigy. Boy Wonder. Trey’s been called them all, but you can just call him one awesome dude. He joined Burgundy Road in 2005. If he wasn’t a professionally awesome dude for a living now, you might find him tie-dying various articles of clothing or giving impromptu concerts on local street corners (probably accompanied by his dog, Red). He could pretty much live on potato, bean and cheese tacos and loves listening to Explosions in the Sky.
Trey's Teams: Whoever isn't lame
Cody Brotherton
Bass Guitar
That's right, he's THE Cody of Cody's Smoker. Cody's passion for smoked meats is second only to his passion for music. Inspired by his favorite band, U2, Cody helped start up Burgundy Road in 2000. When he's not solemnly rocking his bass guitar or grooming his goatee, he may be teaching bass lessons or coaching high school football.
Cody's Teams: Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs, Atlanta Braves
Jason Bray
Drums & Keys
Born in Denver, CO, Jason grew up in the Dallas area and attended McMurry University. He joined Burgundy Road in 2001 and plays drums and keys. When he's not playing with the band you might find him camping out with his three-year-old Weimeraner Sam Mule, teaching drum, guitar, or piano lessons, or chowing down on Mexican food. Jason's favorite band is Thrice and he likes to milk snakes. And cuddle tigers.
Jason's Teams: Chelsea FC, Denver Broncos, Utah Jazz, Detroit Redwings
